Exam Centre - External Proctoring
The Durham Exam Centre at the Trent University Durham GTA campus offers professional proctoring services for individuals, post-secondary institutions, and professional certification organizations. Whether you are an institution arranging testing for your candidates or an individual required to secure your own proctor, our team can assist with administering exams in a secure and professional testing environment.
To ensure adequate processing time, exam booking requests should be submitted at least 10 business days before the desired exam date. For paper-based exams arranged by other post-secondary institutions, bookings should be made 20 business days in advance to allow sufficient time for preparation and courier delivery.
Evening and weekend appointments are available, providing flexible scheduling options for candidates and institutions.

Step 1: Reserve Your Seat
Click the booking link to choose your preferred exam date and time. You’ll receive a confirmation email acknowledging your request.
Please note: Your booking will only be finalized once we receive your payment (see Step 3).

Step 2: Submit Your Exam Details
Please complete the exam request form with all the required information. Providing accurate and complete details helps us ensure a smooth and efficient booking process.

Step 3: Submit Your Payment
Use the link to our Trent Marketplace Payment Portal to complete your payment. You’ll be asked to enter the pre-tax amount based on the flat rate listed below. HST will be automatically added at checkout before your payment is finalized.
External Exam Proctoring Fees
- $75 – Standard Testing Rate (up to 3 hours)
- $100 – Extended Testing Rate (more than 3 hours)

Step 4: Await Final Confirmation
Once we’ve received your booking request, the completed exam information form, and payment confirmation, we’ll send you a final email confirming your booking. This email will include additional details that may be required by your institution.

- We require 48 hours of notice for cancellations.
- Refunds are not issued for no-shows.
