Science (Honours B.Sc.)

With so many leading-edge science facilities, cutting-edge programs, and notable faculty members at Trent, you may need a little more time to select the science degree that is right for you. Trent’s dynamic and flexible Honours Science first-year pathway empowers you to explore a variety of courses across the sciences as well as the arts, before choosing a major or joint major in your second year. Explore different subjects, everything from Anthropology to Computer Science to Psychology. Whatever path you take, you’ll develop a set of in-demand skills by getting hands-on experience in labs, field studies, and conducting your own research in Trent’s diverse research facilities.

Program Paths

Start in Honours Science in first year and move into the science program of your choice in second year – Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology…which major will you choose?

Admission Requirements

Ontario Secondary School Requirements:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
  • A minimum of six Grade 12 4U or 4M courses, including program specific prerequisites

Program Requirements:

  • A minimum 70% overall final average
  • ENG 4U with a minimum of 60%
