My research focuses on the behaviour, demography, and conservation of large northern mammals and on the issues of spatial and temporal scaling. Many of our studies are centred on woodland caribou, the threatened, forest-dwelling populations scattered across the boreal forest.
I am also dedicated to conveying science to non-scientists. I am a member of the International Boreal Conservation Science Panel and a Fellow with the Leopold Leadership Program.
