Peggy Wallace has worked at Trent since 2006, with teaching assignments in the areas of financial accounting, organization theory and human resources management. She has presented at numerous international academic conferences including: Academy of Management, Administrative Sciences Association of Canada, Atlantic Business Schools, Critical Management Studies, International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management, Qualitative Research and the Standing Conference on Organizational Symbolism. Her research has been published in the Canadian Journal of Administrative Studies and Qualitative Research in Management and Organizations, An International Journal. Peggy has also contributed a chapter on Personality & Identity to an Organizational Behaviour textbook.

Peggy draws on her financial accounting expertise and experience to review accounting textbooks for the major textbook publishers. She is currently revising two chapters in an financial accounting textbook.

Peggy’s feminist research was recognized when she was awarded the Outstanding Paper, Emerald Literati 2010 Network Awards for Excellence for “Career Stories of Women Professional Accountants. Examining the personal narratives of career using Simone de Beauvoir’s feminist existentialist philosophy as a theoretical framework”

In 2007, she was one of ten North American doctoral students invited to participate in the Sociology/ Organization Studies Conference, Philadelphia, PA. The purpose of this conference was to review and provide critique on contributions from leading critical management and organization scholars slated for The Oxford Handbook of Sociology and Organization Studies (2009).

Prior to joining Trent University Dr. Peggy Wallace worked for 20+ years in public accounting firms and accounting roles in industry. She consulted with Canadian and international clients n matters related to risk identification and management. She performed external audits and provided risk management services to companies in the financial services sector, regional and municipal governments, retail and automotive sectors.
