Resources from our Learning Resource Peer Mentor
A message for Trent Durham students
Hope you and your loved ones are doing well and staying safe. My name is Chris, and I am your new Learning Resource Peer Mentor (LRPM)! I am a fourth-year Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) student and I am grateful that I have had the opportunity to meet students from different walks of life as a student, student employee, and volunteer at Trent Durham through the years. As an LRPM, I will be working with Durham Academic Skills and Durham Student Accessibility Services (SAS) to provide peer support for students and/or connect them with valuable resources and opportunities. I look forward to sharing the lessons that I have learned throughout my time at Trent Durham and look forward to helping and learning from students in our growing school community. Stay tuned to find out more about our upcoming weekly virtual drop-in sessions, tips in the weekly “What’s Happening” newsletter, and a resource guide/collection of tip sheets that pays homage to the Nickelodeon TV show, Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide!
Have a great day and enjoy your week!
Always remember that you can do it! :)
Thank you,
Chris
