SEPTEMBER TIP Camp is an orientation weekend that takes place at Camp Timberlane in Haliburton, ON
1612 Dudley Road
TIP provides everything you need during camp including food, bed, iinformation, and a set of bedding that is yours to keep (twin size top and bottom sheet, blanket and pillow). You will be in the company of international students from over 50 countries and upper year Trent students that spend the summer getting ready for camp and are excited to meet you. In addition, all of the TIP staff and their families attend camp and it is safe to say that once you get here and find out what TIP is about, you, too, will feel like family. There will be time to ask questions, plan your degree, play in the great Canadian outdoors and find out more about Trent University and Peterborough before arriving for the year.
The September TIP Camp fee includes a Trent representative at the airport on Thursday before TIP Camp, transportation to and from the camp, accommodation for 3 nights, 9 meals and snacks, orientation programming and information sessions.
If your family would like to accompany you to Peterborough we suggest arriving a few days in advance.
Visit: http://thekawarthas.ca/where-to-stay/ for a list of hotels in the area. We suggest calling your hotel to check its proximity to shops and other amenities, especially if you will not have access to a vehicle in Peterborough and will need to rely on public transit (the bus) and/or taxi cabs for transportation. Parents are welcome to remain in Peterborough while their child attends TIP Camp but are advised that the first Monday of September is a statutory holiday in Canada and many establishments will be closed in observance of Labour Day.
Parent Information Session:
Information session available prior to TIP Camp Orientation. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
