Award-Winning Teaching Across all Disciplines

At a University renowned for teaching excellence, faculty members are honoured on an annual basis with a number of distinguished teaching awards. For taking the student experience to the next level, Trent’s teachers have also been recognized provincially and nationally with the most prestigious teaching awards and honours.

 

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

Recognize Excellence in the Trent Teaching Community

Choose one of four categories in which to nominate a candidate:

(Please note: you may nominate a candidate in more than one category; however, each form has a distinct and specific criteria and require separate nomination submissions.)

1. Inspired Learning


Do you know a faculty or staff member who:

  • stands out from others in encouraging learning
  • brings unique experiences to the teaching space
  • challenges students to do their best work
  • serves as inspiration for students
  • demonstrates exemplary concern for students

2. Inspired Leadership


Do you know a faculty or staff member who makes a distinctive impact on his or her department through their leadership, teaching, and successful communication?

3. Small Group Learning

Do you know a teaching assistant who excels at encouraging learning in workshop, tutorial, seminar, laboratory or field settings?

4. Part-time Teaching
