Course planning
It is important you draft a course plan for your studies at Trent. By developing a course plan, you ensure you have the required pre-requisite courses to register in the courses you are interested in as well as meet the requirements to graduate.
First year - For those considering a Specialization in Finance, students should complete ADMN 1000H, ADMN 1221H, ECON 1010H, and ECON 1020H in first year. If you take ADMN 1000H and 1221H in the fall, you could consider taking one or two of the second year ADMN courses (ie. ADMN 2010H, 2100H, 2220H, 2230H, or 2510H) in the winter term of first year. This will then leave space in the upper years to timetable the appropriate entrepreneurship courses. Students should also consider taking the math credit in first year.
Second year – For those considering a Specialization in Finance, students should complete ECON 2200H, 2250H and 2000H by the end of second year. Students should also complete all required ADMN second year level courses. If possible, students should add ADMN 3200H to their second year winter course selection.
Many of the third and fourth year level courses for the Specialization in Finance are offered on a rotational basis. It is important you plan your timetable accordingly and develop a course plan early.
