Upstander Intervention
Thursday, March 25th
2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Zoom Virtual Room
The bystander effect refers to the concept in which individuals do not offer help to another individual in an emergency.
This workshop explores both personal and social barriers to helping, and offers practical skills to overcome these barriers.
We will also cover a range of techniques for intervention and getting assistance in emergency situations. Situations discussed can include bullying, discrimination, sexual assault and hazing.
