Impact 101

self discovery and building confidence. Workshop topics may include:
Assertiveness, Myers Briggs type Indicator, Communication Styles and
Personal Strengths Assessment.

Common questions about Impact
I really like the sound of this program but is it a lot to take on?
Quite simply no. What you put into the program, at minimum, is what
you'll get out of it. Ideally you'll get so much more! Per week Impact
isn't a big commitment. Workshops occur on a fortnightly (every other
week) or monthly basis. From the list of workshops, we ask that
participants attend 5 in total for the academic year.
Aside from the workshops, students can attend the retreats which are
not mandatory, but strongly encouraged and these generally occur once
per semester.
The final component is Service Learning which is 25 hours of
volunteer work over the course of the entire year. This can be done on weekends or spread out over the school year. The service learning hours must be completed by the end of April.
Is there a cost to join Impact?
No! Some events such as retreats or guest speakers may require a fee
but workshops are free. The only exception to this would be workshops
where a guest speaker charges a fee. For example: First Aid or
Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI).
The list of workshops is designed so that a student can attend the required 5 workshops without having to pay a fee.
