NOTE, if you are running older versions of ArcGIS for Desktop software:

ArcGIS 10.6.1 installs directly over ArcGIS 10.1 and higher. Versions prior to 10.1, must be removed before installing version 10.6.1. ESRI provides an uninstall utility for this purpose.  Please contact MaDGIC for further information.

In addition to obtaining software for campus use, one copy of software can be obtained for off-campus use, provided the software is being used in support of academic research and teaching.  See ArcGIS Education Edition software for more information.
