Library Services & Resources
Use the links below to jump to information about our library services and resources.
Scholarly Resources
Most of our research materials are available online: eBooks, eJournals, streaming videos, etc. You can access these resources from anywhere in the world. All you need is an internet connection, a computer or mobile device, and your MyTRENT login.
Our Omni search tool is mobile-friendly and connects you to all our available resources. You can find Omni at the top of all our library webpages. Consult the Omni Guide for help using this tool.
Physical Items
Our stacks are now open and all are welcome to browse our collections. Books and other physical collections are also available by request through Omni for pickup at the Library Service Desk.
Sign into Omni and search for library material. When you locate an item you wish to borrow, click "Request" and follow the prompts to select your pickup location.
- Only eligible library patrons will see the Request option when they are signed into Omni.
- Only items that are available for loan will have the Request option.
Reserves
Instructors who can identify vital reserve readings needed for courses should contact the library with this information so that we can evaluate options for access. The best way to do this is by creating a Leganto reading list for your course. See more on the guide, Leganto: Create Lists for Course Readings & Resources.
Interlibrary Loans
If you're looking for a book that Trent doesn't own, you can request it through Omni and access the collections from other Ontario Universities. RACER is another service that can be used to request loans and copies of material that can't be found in Trent Libraries.
