Trent University and Ontario Tech University
Explore the interface of chemistry, physics, biology, and engineering. You will investigate the intersection of traditional disciplines and create new knowledge at these emerging frontiers.
To meet the demand for science professionals, Trent and OTU offer innovative, interdisciplinary M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs that focus on the scientific foundation of materials research. At Trent, you will build on fundamental science principles for your independent research project, developing skills in project management and effective communication of technical information. Comprised of coursework and a thesis, your degree will prepare you for a career in research and development in the public or private sector.
While the M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs accept direct applications, and supervisory program members will consider all eligible applications, it is strongly recommended that applicants contact any and all potential supervisors in advance of submitting formal applications to the MTSC program. Please visit our Faculty & Research page for more information.
