Research interests
Involved in research focusing on ecological effects of increases in troposphere ozone on a mature sugar maple forest. Specifically, I am a part of ongoing studies focusing on the long distance transport of tropospheric ozone and other air pollutants into the rural areas of southern Ontario from the Greater Toronto Area. I am attempting to quantify potential impacts on the secondary chemistry of foliage and the effects this may have on decomposer and herbivore behavior.
Involved in research understanding the ecology of the invasive macrophytes Cabomba caroliniana and Myriophyllum spicatum so that appropriate management techniques can be applied.
Responsible for maintenance and development of research infrastructure – focusing on both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems - related to the long term vision of this facility
Responsible for interacting with local public and community groups and conveying relevant findings of the Centre
