Chris Nelan is the Coordinator of Student Life at the Trent Durham/GTA Campus and proud member of the Trent Durham community.
As a staff member since 2011, Mr. Nelan works to prepare and support students for success by collaborating with faculty and student services to assess needs and develop targeted programming. He established the Trent Durham Leadership Program in 2012 and continues to develop and run the program which includes hosting several workshops and retreats to help build growth and skills for students. He also oversees the Trent Durham Athletics Program, the Co-curricular Record, the Student Initiative Fund, a Studuct Conduct responder, and analyses student events for risk management and logistics.
Mr. Nelan holds a Master of Education in Post-Secondary Studies from Memorial University (2020), a Bachelor of Education in I/S Physics and Mathematics from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (2011), a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physics from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (2010), and is a certified teacher and member of the Ontario College of Teacher’s (2011). He held different roles in student government while at UOIT and currently holds several other duties within various administrative committees at Trent.
Mr. Nelan has been reappointed for a two-year term in a Staff seat on the Board of Governors beginning July 1, 2022.
