Maeve Quaid graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, specializing in Industrial Relations. She obtained a Master of Science degree in Industrial Relations the London School of Economics and a D.Phil. in Social Sciences from the University of Oxford. She teaches in the areas of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management. She has written various articles and two books, one revealing how organizations devise their pay scales and the other on social policy, specifically on the training programs related to welfare reform. Maeve Quaid is currently researching the changing nature of volunteer work and she is writing a new book on Cuba’s model of international volunteerism.
