In Memoriam

Brett Wooley '83 died at the age of 40 in Toronto on February 26, 2000 after a brave fight against the disease PAN. He attended Catharine Parr Traill College at Trent and operated his own legal services firm in Toronto.

He had a great love of life and a wry wit that touched everyone who met him. A passionate debater and avid traveller, his friends remember him as a true "citizen of the world". Brett will always be remembered by his loving wife Krystina. Beloved son of Peg and Ted Wooley. Loved brother of Michael, Christina, and Sandy. Brett will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

John E.A. Wood '70 passed away September 5, 1999. He had spent his last twenty years in "Canada's Pacific Northwest", with stops at Kitimat, Terrace and finally Prince Rupert. He died while diving, a sport he loved. He will be greatly missed by many in Prince Rupert including his wife, friend and life partner Dani, his son Michael, stepson Jody and grandson Darien. He will also be fondly remembered by the large number of past and present students of North West Community College whose lives he affected so greatly by his hearty sense of humor and patient teachings.

Randy Mariner '68 was the loving husband of Carol (Gilmer) Marriner '70 whom he met at Trent. No one from the early years at Trent will be able to think of the university or the Commoner without fond memories of Randy. Randy was a loving husband and father and was truly devoted to his family and friends.
