In Memoriam

Professor Jim MacAdam of the Trent University Philosophy Department, has been honoured with the establishment of an academic award called the MacAdam Prize, to be presented to a graduate philosophy student who produces the most outstanding paper presented at a professional conference in North America. The award was established in Professor MacAdam's name in recognition of his outstanding scholarly work on the philosophy of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and in appreciation of his leadership in establishing in 1978, an international congress, The Rousseau Association, which now meets every two years and has a membership of more than 200.
