Alumni Association awards $45,000 in student bursaries!

The Trent University Alumni Association is pleased to announce the awarding of over $45,000 in bursary funds to financially deserving students.

This unprecedented bursary support was made possible by alumni donations from 1997-99 to the Ontario Student Opportunity Trust challenge, in which alumni student aid donations were matched, dollar for dollar, by the Ontario government.

Bursaries were awarded to 78 upper year students who had an acceptable academic average, financial need and involvement in university and/or community life.

Bursary amounts ranged from $300 to $700.

The list of university and community organizations that benefit from these students involvement is very impressive.
