Biggest Ever Trent Durham GTA Fall Open House October 27 to Feature New Programs, Careerspace & Plans for Campus Expansion
Students can apply on the spot to all programs including new degrees in Law & Business, Computing Systems, Psychological Development
A growing list of innovative programs, top rankings, guaranteed career experience and campus expansion are attracting more students than ever to the Trent University Durham GTA Fall Open House Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
“We are expecting to see more students than ever exploring our growing Durham campus in the GTA at Open House this weekend,” said Marilyn Burns, associate vice-president, Marketing & Recruitment. “Students and their parents are recognizing how exceptionally personalized the learning experience is at Trent Durham – and, when combined with a guaranteed career experience, just how valuable that degree will be. High school students: don’t forget to bring your PIN # this weekend and we can help you apply to Trent on the spot. Let’s have a coffee together in the atrium and talk about what you want to do in the future and how Trent can help to get you there.”
Trent University Durham GTA is offering all students free transportation to make it easier to visit campus. Students and their guests simply need to show their GO Transit ticket at the registration table in the Front Atrium to be provided with a pre-loaded Presto card.
Highlights of the Trent Durham GTA Fall Open House include:
- Apply on the Spot: Visit the “Apply Now” table in the front atrium with your PIN # and our admissions team will help you apply on the spot.
- Careerspace: Meet the Careerspace team and find out about how you will be guaranteed a career experience while studying at Trent Durham GTA that you can add to your resume;
- Faculty Dedicated to Teaching Undergrads: Speak with professors and students about their program of interest at the academic and student services fair;
- New Career-focused Programs: Find out more about a growing range of programs focused on your future: Computing Systems; Psychological Development; Gender and Women’s Studies: Policing & Community Well-being (pending final approval);
- A Close-knit Campus Community: Tour Trent’s Durham GTA campus – tours depart every 10 minutes;
- Campus Expansion Plans: Find out more about Trent’s plans to expand our GTA campus, including new on-campus student residence and academic spaces;
- Small Classes with Top Lecturers: Attend mini-lectures and information sessions;
- First Peoples House of Learning: Visit our tipi fire to learn about services offered by the FPHL;
- Buy the t-shirt! Purchase Trent gear at a discounted price from the Trent Durham Student Association;
- Two Draws: Students can enter to win two awards in two separate draws – one towards first-year tuition, and an additional new prize draw for a $2,000 tuition prize. All guests will be automatically entered into both contests, just by attending Open House;
- SWAG Alert: Prospective students are also invited to share a photo of their time at Fall Open House using the hashtag #DiscoverTrentU for a chance to win Trent swag.
Peterborough Open House will take place Friday, November 2, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. through to 2:00 p.m.
