Trent Alumna Publishes Twenty-Third Book

Trent University alumna and award-winning author, Troon Harrison (’95, ’97) has published her twenty-third book, Tales of Terre II: The Twilight Box.

Following the adventures of Ambro the orphan who in searching for extended family and a home, The Twilight Box, an adventure fantasy for teen to adult readers, pits three teenagers against cruelty and injustice in the midst of a beautiful desert landscape filled with fleet horses, temple ruins, and astonishing creatures.

On Saturday, December 15 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Ms. Harrison will be signing copies of her most recently published novel at Titles Books (379 George St. N.) in Peterborough.

In addition to being an internationally published, award-winning author, Ms. Harrison is also an editor and a teacher. Born in British Columbia, she was raised in Cornwall, England. Returning to Canada, she spent ten years on the west coast before moving to Ontario where she completed a both a B.A. in Sociology and a B.A. in English Literature at Trent University. Ms. Harrison’s work has been published in five languages and seven countries and two of her picture books are now animated television shows on YTV.
