A message from The Centre for Human Rights, Equity and Accessibility (CHREA)
Are you a faculty member, staff member, student staff member or graduate TA who creates documents for posting on Trent’s website? Did you know that documents posted to the website need to be accessible? The Centre for Human Rights, Equity and Accessibility (CHREA) can assist with your accessible document creation through the following:
Drop-in Hours
· January 29, 2019 – May 21, 2019
- Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in Otonabee College Room 124
Learn the “how to” of accessible document creation, by bringing your non-confidential documents to CHREA’s drop-in hours. Have your specific questions answered or get feedback on your documents
Virtual Office Hours
· January 30, 2019 – May 22, 2019
- Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. via CHREA Virtual Office Hours Zoom link or through the My Trent Portal under “Services”
Have your specific questions answered or get feedback on your non-confidential documents. If calling in by telephone to a Zoom Videoconference, please be aware that long distance charges apply
SharePoint Community of Practice
· Coming in early 2019 - the SharePoint Community of Practice for Accessible Document Creators
If you want to connect with Trent community members to exchange feedback on document creation we encourage you to join us. The SharePoint site will allow for posting documents, and provision of interactive editing and feedback. Post a document, participate in the discussion board or come check out the resources available!
Please contact Andrea Walsh (awalsh@trentu.ca) to join or for any questions.
