Julian Mora

Julian MoraQuito, Ecuador
Business Administration
Julian Mora came to Trent with two of his best friends and with a passion for learning. He also spent six months studying abroad in France.

Why did you choose Trent?

I choose Trent because it is a high quality small university where students can learn in a comfortable environment.  The close relationship between teachers and students is what makes Trent different from any other school.

How would you describe yourself? How would others describe you? What are your passions in life?

I consider myself to be a very down to earth and very open minded person.  I am a very responsible and constant student.  I love to make friends and share my life experiences with my friends as for them to learn from me and for me to learn from them as well.  I have very strong values which differentiate me from many other people, I consider myself to be different than the masses.  Others describe be as the friend they can trust, many times my friend ask me for advices because they know that I can help them somehow.  My friends usually say that I am a very happy person and I like that because life is about happiness.

One of my biggest passions in life is sports.  I will not be able to live with out sports because by exercising I release all the bad energy I have in my mind and body.  After doing two hours of sports I feel clean, relaxed and motivated to continue trying to achieve my goals.

Another passion I have in life is learning.  I love to learn about business, history, cultures, animals, and basically about everything.

Have you been involved in any clubs, groups, and/or sports (specify varsity vs. intramural) at Trent? If so, which ones?(Please include Study Abroad opportunities here)

I am part of H.O.L.A which is Hispanic Organization of Latin Awareness.  Also, last year did an exchange program with Trent.  I went to France for six months and that was one of the best experiences in my life.

What has your time at Trent meant to you? What are some of your favourite memories? What will you take with you from Trent?

Trent has been the place where I have developed many of my skills.  At Trent I have been able to let others know about me and about my country.  The time at Trent for me represent a valuable time in my life that I will never forget about.  Trent has given me many memories like the Cultural Outreach, the intramurals soccer championships, the business formal and day to day things that happened.  Trent has been a wonderful place for me as a person and as a student.

What are your future plans and aspirations? What do you hope to accomplish?

I have many aspirations for my future. In five to ten years from now I see myself being the CEO of my own business in Ecuador. I see myself helping my society and my country for it to be better. I also see myself making an MBA in Europe or in Canada but I do not know when.  I see myself getting married with a great women and starting a beautiful family.  Also, I see myself taking good care of my parents as they have taken good care of me.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I just want to say thank you to all my teachers for their support during my four years at Trent.  I will always remember Trent as the best four years of my life.
