2007 Peterborough Regional Science Fair to be held April 10

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Online Registration for Volunteer Judges and Student Projects Now Open

Monday, January 29, 2007, Peterborough

Trent University is pleased to announce that the 2007 annual Peterborough Regional Science Fair, showcasing the work of students representing hundreds of schools from Apsley to Cobourg, will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 in the Chemical Science and Environmental Resources buildings on the Symons Campus.

Each year, students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 display their projects in biological, physical, engineering, and computing sciences. The experience is an invaluable stepping stone for many who go on to pursue successful careers in science, medicine, and exploration such as astronaut and Chancellor of Trent University, Dr. Roberta Bondar. Trent University is the host for this annual event.

This year, the winners of the Science Fair will represent the Peterborough Region at the Canada Wide Science Fair in Truro, Nova Scotia for a week in May 2007. Trent University and the City of Peterborough will host the Canada Wide Science Fair in 2010.

Online registration is now open for both volunteer judges and student projects. For more information, please visit www.peterboroughsciencefair.org and click on Judges Registration.
