Centre for Health Studies Hosts Fifth Annual Health Studies Day on January 23

Free Public Event to Feature Presentations on Maternal Prenatal Attachment, the Link between Dreams and Health, and the Age of Delayed Degenerative Diseases

Tuesday, January 16, 2007, Peterborough

Trent University’s Centre for Health Studies is hosting its fifth annual Health Studies Day on Tuesday, January 23 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Junior Common Room at Scott House on the Traill College campus.

Organized to highlight the types of health research underway at Trent, this year’s Health Studies Day will feature a range of speakers and topics from many different disciplines including Ancient History and Classics, Psychology, Philosophy, Nursing, and Sociology. Presentations of note include: Dreams and Health: Examining the Connection; Why Love Matters to our Physical Health: Maternal Prenatal Attachment and Infant Illness in the First Six Months of Life; and A Death of a Thousand Cuts: How Private Profit Seeks to Destabilize Public Medicare Systems.
