2012 Graduate Profiles

Margaret Donaldson-Kuntz '08, B.A. Sociology, Lakefield ON

Bagnani Medal Recipient

Having been involved in a variety of diverse Trent organizations that have expanded her community awareness, Margaret Donaldson-Kuntz plans to continue to expand awareness of the benefits of aromatherapy through her self-employment as a writer, while continuing to teach at the college level.

How will you make a difference with your Trent degree?
I am self-employed and my plans are quite varied and extensive. With my studies behind me, I am now in a better position to devote time to my (two) current writing projects. I am writing a book that will be a basic primer on aromatherapy for the public and the other book is a collaborative effort with a colleague, on a more expansive body of work.

I hope to expand my continuing education offerings at the college level
as well as my guest lectures, similar to the one I’ve been asked to do next month at a retirement home. I am always interested in educating people about aromatherapy!

What is the best thing about studying at Trent?
The professors who always endeavored to make themselves available, the lively class discussions and the wonderful camaraderie among the students I had the pleasure of studying with.
