Trent University Open House Welcomes Community to Spring Thaw Event

Live music, BBQ, academic and program information to be available

Trent University is pleased to invite applicants, new and interested students along with their friends and families to the Spring Thaw Open House on Symons Campus in Peterborough on Saturday, May 5, 2011 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Live music and a barbeque will take place outdoors, where visitors can speak with professors, students and alumni about the Trent experience. Campus tours will run every 15 minutes from the podium at Bata Library. At the academic and student service fair, students and friends can speak directly to professors, students and our service experts. The Admissions team will be available to answer questions and help applicants accept offers of admission on site.

Open House Highlights:

• TOUR THE CAMPUS: Join campus tours departing every 15 minutes. Visit any of Trent’s four colleges to tour residences.
• LEARN ABOUT THE TRENT EXPERIENCE: Hear from professors, students and alumni on the podium at the library court about why Trent is an ideal place to pursue your education.
• TALK TO PROFESSORS AND STAFF: Engage with faculty about the program of your interest, learn about scholarships and financial aid at the Academic and Student Services Fair in the Trent Community Sport and Recreation Centre.
• ACCEPT OFFERS OF ADMISSION: The admissions team will be on hand to answer questions and help applicants accept offers of admission on site via OUAC. Please bring your Trent Identification Number (TIN) and OUAC account login information (password).
• Barbeque lunch (rain or shine) $7 per person.
