'Understanding the World We Live In' Oshawa Research Day at Trent University

Media and public invited to free sessions on History & Society; Cultural & Natural Environments, and Literature & the Visual

Trent University Oshawa Thornton Road Campus will welcome the public to Oshawa Research Day: a day of stimulating research presentations featuring cutting-edge research by world-class faculty and students on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 55 Thornton Road South.
The afternoon will be organized into three sessions around the theme of “Explore, Diverge, Preserve,” and each session will feature four 20-minute lectures about the works of professors and students on research-in-progress.
A wide variety of topics will be covered such as: Deconstructing Ghost Words in Ghost World; The Impact of Air Emissions from Petroleum Refineries on Public Health; The Positive Psychological Effect of Air Power; and How Open World and Social Media Games Reproduce Economic and Racial Disparity, to name a few.
