Thousands of rowers, varsity athletes, community members, alumni and families will visit Trent University’s Symons campus to take part in the 44th annual Head of the Trent Regatta and Alumni Homecoming Weekend taking place October 3-5, 2014.

The Head of the Trent Regatta is the largest single day event of its kind in North America and the second largest amateur sporting event in Canada next to the Calgary Stampede. Created in 1971 by Trent alumnus Chris Leach, today Head of the Trent includes over 1,200 athletes from more than 50 universities and clubs across Canada and the northern United States. Races take place on the Trent-Severn Waterway, starting at the Parkhill Road Bridge and winding through the Trent Canal to finish at the Faryon Bridge on the Trent campus.

The Head of the Trent Regatta and Alumni Homecoming Weekend has grown to feature varsity lacrosse, soccer, rugby and volleyball games and a full schedule of alumni reunion activities.
