The director of Trent University’s Business Administration program, Dr. Asaf Zohar is excited to share that starting in September, 2011 the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree will now be offered at Trent University Oshawa Thornton Road Campus.

Now for the first time, Trent students can complete a full Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Oshawa, along with Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in Anthropology, English Literature, History, Psychology and Sociology.

“Businesses and investors are learning that we need to understand and measure success in new ways. Above all, we must excel at capturing economic, social and environmental value added or destroyed,” said Professor Zohar. “At Trent, we believe that the leaders of the future need to embrace this mindset as the basis for wealth creation.

“A growing number of students are choosing the Trent University difference. What sets Trent apart is not only our commitment to education for a sustainable future, but also how we engage our students. In order to meet students on their own terms, our B.B.A. program offers options, alternatives and flexibility.”

According to Prof. Zohar, the road to success is through distinct values that are embedded in the Trent University culture and Business Administration program, such as sustainable practices, ethics, socially-responsible business, community engagement and a strong interdisciplinary liberal arts foundation.

To complement the majors above, students can choose from a range of courses available at the Oshawa campus including environmental science, politics, ancient history & classics, biology, computer studies, Canadian studies, cultural studies, economics, geography, Indigenous studies, international development studies, math, modern languages, philosophy, anthropology, English literature, history, psychology and sociology and women’s studies.

Providing more than $5 million each year to its students, Trent invests the most in scholarship funding per capita of any university in its category nationwide. Trent University Oshawa students may benefit from a generous gift bequest focused on mature students in need of financial support.
