Vickie Albrecht appointed Manager, Durham Campus Library & Learning Centre

A warm Trent welcome goes out to Vickie Albrecht, who is joining the Library and Archives as Manager, Durham Campus Library and Learning Centre on Monday, April 19.

Born and raised in the Durham Region, Vickie has held positions of progressive responsibility at the Uxbridge Public Library; Centennial College library; and the University of Manitoba Libraries. She is currently Acting Head, Science Division at the University of Manitoba Libraries, where she has worked since 2012.

She holds a Honours B.Sc degree from the University of Toronto; a Library and Information Technician (LIT) diploma from Seneca College; and a MLIS from Western University. She has also completed a Certificate in Management from the University of Manitoba, as well as several professional development programs.

Vickie will be available virtually during her first few weeks, and will physically join the Durham Campus in May. You can reach Vickie through her Trent email vickiealbrecht@trentu.ca . 

As Manager, she will report jointly to the University Librarian on all library matters, and to the Dean and Head, Trent Durham GTA Campus on matters pertaining to campus life and operations.
