man sitting at desk thinking about help

A student researcher wants to test whether attitudes toward help-seeking affects actual help-seeking behaviour. The researcher decides to conduct his study online so he can gather as many participants as possible. He distributed an online survey which contained questions on students help-seeking attitudes as well as how many times they have sought help from a professional such as a psychologist or doctor in the past year. The researcher then analyses the data and finds that people with positive help-seeking attitudes sought more help and people with negative help-seeking attitudes sought less help.
