FBI Forensic Examiner Delivering Public Lecture at Trent University March 9 |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Heather Seubert to Discuss her Career in Forensics, Life at the FBI, and her Work on Various High Profile Cases Thursday, March 2, 2006, Peterborough The Forensic Science Program at Trent University is pleased to announce that Heather Seubert, a Forensic Examiner with the FBI, will be delivering an interactive discussion on her career and experiences on Thursday, March 9 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Room 114 at Gzowski College on the Symons campus. Throughout her presentation, Ms. Seubert will be addressing her career in Forensic Science and her experiences working with the FBI, including some discussion around high profile cases she has been involved with and the services provided by the FBI lab. Ms. Seubert has been working in the field since she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Science in 1993. Upon graduation she became a Forensic Scientist with the Michigan State Police, working in Serology, bloodstain pattern analysis, and crime scene response. She also testified as an expert witness in many trials. In 1998 Ms. Seubert joined the FBI as a biologist in the Mitochondrial DNA Analysis Unit. Since her promotion to Forensic Examiner in the Nuclear DNA Analysis Unit in January 2001, she has held the position of Bloodstain Pattern Analysis Program Manager, Chair of the National DNA Index System Audit Review Panel and is currently also a member of the Scientific Working Group on Bloodstain Pattern Analysis. The lecture is free and is open to all members of the community, however, space is limited.
