Wednesday, January 18, 2006, Peterborough

Retired journalist Charles Gordon will deliver a free, public talk on the newspaper business and journalistic career options, at Trent University in the Senior Common Room of Lady Eaton College on Friday, January 20 at 2 p.m.

The talk, entitled Journalism: The Second Oldest Profession, Are Newspapers Still Worth Reading?, will address technology changes in the news environment and the effect these changes have on the way news is gathered.
