Get "Behind the Scenes" on campus

A "Behind the Scenes" tour is offered at Trent this Saturday, October 19, from 1 – 4 p.m.

This tour offers a unique opportunity to tour the campus as part of a small group and to hear five presentations by Trent staff and faculty. As mini lectures, these presentations will provide a real flavour of life at Trent. Topics will be:

  • An overview of Trent’s Build 2000 construction (witness the evolution of Trent’s newest science facility)
  • "Figuring out the environmental choreography of contaminants" with Professor Don Mackay
  • "Cell phones: a Life Saver or a Death Sentence?" with Professor Magda Havas
  • "The Academic Skills Centre: Helping Students Succeed" with Martin Boyne
  • "Twinkle, Twinkle Barnard’s Star" with Professor Peter Dawson

The tour begins at 1 p.m. in the AJM Smith Conference Room, in the bottom of Bata Library, and will run until approximately 4 p.m. If you are interested in participating, please call Sherry Booth prior to Saturday to reserve a spot. She can be reached at 748-1011, ext. 1593, or by e-mail at sbooth@trentu.ca.
