Trent's Native Association Leadership Conference to be Held March 11

Trent University's Native Association is pleased to announce their Leadership Conference will be taking place on Saturday, March 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Peterborough Lions Club Community Centre at 347 Burnham Street.

At this year's conference, there will be many high profile speakers, including: Alex McKay Professor U of T, Allen McNaughton Hereditary Chief, Mark Phillips Counsellor, Bob Watts M.A. (Harvard) Leadership & Conflict Resolution, and Phil Fontaine, National Grand Chief AFN.

The Conference is designed to exchange contemporary and Indigenous leadership approaches and practices within our Aboriginal communities. Aboriginal, and non-Aboriginal practitioners, along with counsellors, theorists, community-based organizations, members of the public and private sectors, as well as Trent students, faculty, staff, and all members of the community are invited to attend. 

The Conference will run all day on Saturday, March 11. The cost to attend is $30 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Lunch will be provided. All are welcome but space is limited. For more information or to pre-register, please contact Wendy Phillips at (705)
