As the end of January approaches the Career Centre at Trent continues to buzz with activity.

From workshops on resume writing and networking to the Annual Summer Job and Volunteer Fair, there are many important and interesting activities you will want to take note of and mark on your calendars.

Annual Summer Job and Volunteer Fair

It is never too early to start your summer job search and this Fair is just the place to start!

On February 9 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Gzowski College join employers from Peterborough and the surrounding area to learn about possible summer employment opportunities.

Confirmed participants include: Habitat for Humanity – Peterborough and District, Trent University Department of Athletics, Camp Wahanowin, Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board, Katimavik, Jamaican Self Help, Outland Reforestation, Statistics Canada, and many more!

Workshops

Need to prepare for the upcoming Job Fair? Learn how to get your resume in order and how to network with employers at the Career Centre workshops.

Upcoming workshops include:

  • Resumes - Tuesday January 31 11:00am -12:00pm
  • Networking Works! - Wednesday February 1 11:00am -12:00pm, Thursday February 2 11:00am -12:00pm and Wednesday February 8 2:00pm – 3:00pm
  • Career Planning - Tuesday Feb 7. 7:00pm-8:00pm

The National Coaching Certification Program

Already know what you want to do with your future? Does it involve coaching and developing high performance athletes? If so, this certification program is for you.

The National Coaching Certification Program is offering Level A and Level B Theory courses on the following dates:

Level A Theory -- February 4 and February 18 (both days)
Level B Theory -- March 26 and April 1 (both days)

Public Service Commission Recruitment Testing

For anyone interesting in working with the Federal Government after graduation mark February 11 on your calendars.
