Guest Lecture on Climate Change Policy

Former Trent Professor Bob Page will give a Canadian Environmental Policy guest lecture titled, "Climate Change: Can We Ever Succeed?" at Trent University on Monday, November 14.

Dr. Page, vice president of Sustainable Development at TransAlta Utilities, will, during his lecture, provide an examination of climate change policy in Canada to the third year Canadian Environmental Policy class.

Prior to joining TransAlta in 1997, Dr. Page was Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Design at the University of Calgary (1990-97). Before that, Dr. Page was a professor at Trent University where he was one of the founding members of Environmental Resource Studies.

Dr. Page is very active in climate change policy evident from his work as Past Chair of the Board for the International Emissions Trading Association, as Board Chair of BIOCAP Canada, and as a member of the Pew Centre on Climate Change Business Environment Leadership Council.
