Consultation Continues on Trent University's Endowment Lands Master Plan

Members of the public, as well as students, staff and faculty members took the opportunity to learn more about Trent University's Endowment Lands Master Plan at an Open House on June 22 in Champlain College's Great Hall. The Master Planning consultant team was on hand to answer questions and collect comments and input.

The Master Plan will identify appropriate uses and a long-term vision that balances both short- and long-term needs for approximately 600 acres (243 hectares) of land owned by the University and located around the Symons Campus. Comments received at the Open House will help shape the direction of the plan.

For those who weren't able to attend the Open House, the endowment lands web page at www.trentu.ca/endowmentlands also offers information and an opportunity to provide feedback.

At the Open House, there were a series of panels on display. The information from these panels is also posted on the web page.

For further information, please contact either Project Manager, Physical Resources, Robert Ballerin at rballarin@trentu.ca or Planning Consultant, Office for Urbanism, Jennifer Keesmaat at jk@officeforurbanism.com.
