Life After Trent: Career and Employment Seminar for Graduating Students

Learn about careers options, how to make those tough choices, and plan for the future. Students will have the opportunity to complete career assessments, learn the basics of an effective work search and practice interview skills. Looking for a cool job that uses your foreign language skills? The Communications Security Establishment (CSE) is Canada's national cryptologic agency and they're recruiting right now for Foreign Language Intelligence Analysts. Do you have:A demonstrated interest and ability in ICT, security issues, global concerns and international political affairs? Superior analytic, research and report writing skills? Proficiency in at least one Asian, Middle Eastern, North African or European language? If so, then a career with the CSE might be for you. You must be a Canadian Citizen and eligible for TOP SECRET security clearance, and able to communicate effectively in English and work as part of a team. Ontario Provincial Police: OPP Bound 2005

Taking Applications.The Ontario Provincial Police is readying itself for its third OPP Bound recruitment program, scheduled to be held in Orillia. This year OPP Bound 2005 is a recruitment venture aimed to increase awareness of employment opportunities in the OPP for women and men from diverse communities. The one week camp will serve as a vehicle to provide a diverse group of women and men with an opportunity to explore a career with the Ontario Provincial Police. The application deadline for the OPP Bound 2005 is May 9, 2005 and a total of 100 men and women from diverse communities in Ontario will be selected for the five-day mini-OPP recruit camp, being held at the Provincial Police Academy from July 10-14, 2005.
