University Mourns the Death of Mr. Art Peterson

Trent University was saddened to learn of the death of retiree Mr. Art Peterson who passed away in Peterborough on March 24.

Mr. Peterson began his career at Trent University in 1966 as a handyman and held a number of positions in the Physical Resources department, retiring in 1986 as a carpenter foreman after 20 years of service.

Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife Irene and sons Arthur and James.  A memorial service was held at the Highland Park Visitation / Reception Centre (2510 Bensfort Road at River Road South, Peterborough (705) 745-6984) on Monday, March 28, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. with visiting 2 hours prior.  Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged. In memory of Mr. Peterson the flag atop the Bata Library will be lowered to the half mast position.
