Prof. Tom Sherman to speak at Trent's First Undergraduate Canadian Studies Conference
Prof. Sherman, a technology theorist, artist and author, will speak on Saturday, March 6 at 4 p.m. at the Traill College Lecture Hall at the northeast corner of Reid and London Streets. An exhibit will take place from 3 - 6 p.m. Prof. Sherman is author of Before and After the I-Bomb: An Artist in the Information Environment. This presentation is made possible by the Frost Centre for Canadian Studies and Native Studies, the Trent University Canadian Studies Program and the Centre for the Study of Theory, Culture and Politics. All are welcome to attend the lecture and exhibit as part of Producing Canada: Nation(s) in a New Light. The conference runs from March 5 - 7 at Catharine Parr Traill College, Trent University. Itinerary, presenter lists and registration information for the conference is available at www.trentu.ca/canadianstudies/conference. Portage, the Canadian Studies Undergraduate Association at Trent University, is hosting the conference, which will be moderated by Trent University students.
