United Way Campaign Underway
As of October 2, Trent faculty, staff and retirees had reached 52 per cent of the campaign goal. The barbecue itself raise $375 toward that $27,469 total. The pledge drive will continue through to October 17. Last year, due to the generosity of University faculty and staff members and retirees, the $52,000 campaign goal was exceeded. The same goal has been set for this year, so take note of the rising thermometer at the entrance to the Symons Campus. On
October 1, Trent University’s United Way campaign kicked off
with a barbecue outside Champlain College. Celebrity chefs Executive
Director, Peterborough and District United Way, Len Lifchus and President
Bonnie Patterson were on-hand, as were campaign co-chairs Julie Crook
and Prof. Eric Helleiner.
