Storm Warning:
Gambling with the Climate of Our Planet

Trent University’s Continuing Education program is offering a "stormy" course on Tuesday, April 22 from 7 - 9 p.m.

Led by instructor Lydia Dotto, the evening workshop is called "Storm Warning: Gambling with the Climate of Our Planet." Ms. Dotto has been a science writer for 30 years and is the author of a dozen books. She is also a science advisor for a forthcoming TV series on climate change, to be broadcast on the Discovery Channel.

Droughts, floods, ice storms, heat waves, insects and exotic diseases will all be discussed. All are consequences of global climate change and present a significant impact on society, the environment and economies.

The fee for attending the seminar is $25, or $20 for seniors/students/alumni. For more information, or to register, call (705) 748-1229 or log onto www.trentu.ca/continuinged.
