Peterborough Petes skate with Trent hockey players

Two Peterborough Petes hockey players – Adam Elizinga and Petes captain Jon Howse - were at the Kinsmen Arena on Friday, November 15, to help Trent University recreational players improve their skills.

At the skating and skills clinic, held from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m., the Petes players worked on improving the basic skating skills, stick handling skills and safety awareness of Trent recreational players who are part of the University’s 2002/03 lower rec hockey league.

There are 22 teams playing recreational hockey at Trent this year, which involves over 300 students. There are three teams in the lower rec league, seven in upper rec and 12 in the competitive league.
