TCSA aims to reduce waste

This week, November 11 – 15, is waste reduction week at Trent.

Pam Lancaster, environmental commissioner for the Trent Central Student Association (TCSA), and some fellow TCSA leaders have been hard at work preparing events to raise awareness about waste reduction on campus.

Highlights of the week include hazardous waste day on Monday, November 11; Aramark waste reduction day on Tuesday, November 12; travel mug day on Wednesday, November 13; smart shop day on Thursday, November 14; and how to recycle day/college garbage pick-up day on Friday, November 15. On each of these days, the bulletin board outside the TCSA office will display information geared to the day’s theme.

On Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. Peterborough Green-Up representatives will make a presentation about waste reduction methods in the Wenjack Theatre. This event is free and open to the entire community.
