Library's Info Commons Open for Business

Dave Binkley, Assistant Director, Computing Services, looks on as Tina Molinari, Parliamentary Assistant, Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, tries out one of the many powerful computers that form part of Bata Library's new Information Commons.

Upgrades to the library include improved networks, an expanded Interactive Learning Centre, two training rooms, one of which contains a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) lab, and enhanced access to on-line research. The upgrades are part of a $2.81 million joint information technology initiative between Trent and Sir Sandford Fleming College, made possible through Ontario government SuperBuild funding.

Trent Report is published by the Trent University Communications Department on the fourth Friday of each month during the academic year. A reduced schedule is in effect during July and August.
