Alumni co-president prepares for Black Tie and Birkenstocks |

In honour of Trent University's 40th Anniversary, Trent Alumni are holding a gala dinner: Black Tie & Birkenstocks. But don't let the words "black tie" or "gala" fool you. This will be a entirely relaxed event, an evening chat, reminisce, dance and generally spoof the old fashioned formal – because people really can put on a tux or a ball gown and slip on pair of sandals. Even Trent chancellor Roberta Bondar will be in attendance along with Bonnie Patterson.
