PSYC 3500H: Child Development

This is a course dealing with the theoretical and empirical research bases of child development and child psychology as a scientific discipline. Topics covered include theories of development, research methods, biological foundations, basic psychological processes in children, cognitive and intellectual development, and family and peer influences on children's behaviour.

Notes regarding the paper:

1. After the first citation, you no longer need to cite the children's book in the summary or evaluation.
2. When numbering the pages, the cover page is page 1, the summary is page 2, etc.
3. Place the copies of the first page of the articles right after the references page. Proper APA style would require you to put a page with the word "Appendix" before the abstracts but I will not deduct marks if this is not done. If, however, the references are not done in proper APA style, marks will be deducted.

This link might be helpful for your paper on the book review. Also, a web search (using Google, for example) using key words "Grade 2 curriculum" or "Grade 3 curriculum", etc., will also provide information on the sorts of reading vocabulary a student is expected to know for a particular grade.
