Nominating Committee of Faculty Board
Terms of Reference
A standing committee of Faculty Board, Nominating Committee shall assign members of the Faculty Council to Senate committees (with exception of special committees of Senate for which Senate Executive acts as nominating committee), keeping in mind the need for continuing expertise on all committees, and making appointments for such extended and/or recurring terms as will ensure the development of expertise, and the increased efficiency that results from it. The Committee shall ensure that all Senate committees dealing with academic policy issues have at least 50% of voting members who are members of the Faculty Council, and shall determine which committees deal with academic policy issues.
The Dean of Arts & Science, as Chair of the Faculty Board Nominating Committee, and on behalf of Senate, is responsible for bringing forward to Senate Executive on an ongoing basis, recommended changes in the terms of reference, membership, and continued status of Senate's committees.
